Summer Fun

Have to love summer in Alaska...lots camping, visitors and adventures. Over the 4th of July weekend we headed over to Seldovia. Jake and our friends went earlier so Sienna & I flew over...in a Cessna 206....her 1st time in that small of a plane. We spent the weekend 4-wheeling, checking out the tide pools and took in the town celebration and took the State Ferry home. This past weekend we ventured to Quartz Creek with Nana, Papa, Auntie Kimberly & Dillion and Uncle Aaron, Auntie Victoria and Cameron. The weather was not the best...but we took a long bike ride and visited around the camp fire. Sienna is starting to say the best things...I have started a journal. We love summer and have been glad to be out exploring Alaska.

Happy 2nd Birthday

Sienna turned 2....where does the time go! We celebrated her birthday with a weekend full of fun! Both Jake & I took Friday off to spend the day with her. We had lots of visitors over the weekend and had a little birthday celebration at a park in town! She is talking more and more each day....saying the cutest things! We are really enjoying having Nana and Papa in town!

Let the summer begin...

We headed out this weekend for our first camping trip of the summer. We loaded up the family and friends and went to Hidden Lake. Sienna had so much fun playing outside all day with her Dillon, the puppy Peanut that when the day was over she slept for 12 hours and was ready to head outside again.

Our little Sienna is getting so big and talking up a storm. This morning she put her babies to bed on the floor and kept telling us to be quiet her baby was sleeping. We have been taking advantage of the spring weather and going for lots of walks, bike rides and a few trips to the beach. Looking forward to Nana and Papa arriving here soon for the summer.

She likes collecting rocks...I often find about 10 or 20 in her pockets after our little adventures!

Happy Spring

Its hard to believe my little angel is already....22 month! We have had a lots of changes lately since I started a new job so both her & I have been adjusting to our new schedules. We headed up to Anchorage a few weekend ago for a girls weekend and spent the morning at Bouncing Bears and the rest of time visiting with friends. We had a wonderful Easter! Our neighborhood did a little Easter egg hunt (the Easter bunny even showed up), colored eggs and went to bunch with our great friends the Sullens and Hamricks! In the afternoon we had a wonderful surprise when Uncle Eric & Kane showed up to visit! They stayed for three days and Sienna stayed home and "partied with Uncle Ekkey". The snow is melting fast and the days are getting warmer....summer is almost here!

st. patty's day

We are getting back into a routine after our trip...but daylight saving has through Sienna for alittle loop...plus all the daylight now. I took her to the St. Patty's Day parade and meet up with her friend Kazain....those two have so much fun together and its great to watch them play and copy each other. Spring is on its way here and we are loving the warmer longer days!

Aloha....we had such a wonderful family vacation to Maui! Could not of asked for a better time with each other and friends (minus the tsumani warning). Sienna LOVED the water, playing on the beach, chasing the birds around, looking for frogs and fish, playing with her new friend MJ and I enjoyed relaxing with my family! Our 12 days went fast but we came away with great memories and cant wait until we go back next year!
Sienna is already 21 months...talking up a storm and repeating everything we say and do!

Valentines Day

Hope everyone had a great Valentines! With warmer weather lately we have been taking advantage with outdoor fun...Jake has been snowmaching and Sienna & I have been taking Treble for walks or going skiing with friends! Sienna rides along in her sled and yells out...let's go... everytime we try to stop.
I have started a journal to keep track of all the funny/cute things she has been saying to us. Yesterday, after bath time she thought it would be fun to run and hid when it was time to put on her diaper...as I play wrestled her down and told her I was going to wipe her into shape (starting to show signs of the terrible twos) she thought I said sheep and started crawling around and bahhh. Also everyone morning after she gets out of her bed she makes sure to yell....hi trebbie until he comes over and gives her a morning kiss!
Today Jake & I celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary and are counting down the days till Hawaii...just 10 more!

Weekend Fun

After a tough week (emotionally)....we spent the weekend together playing! This weekend was Peninsula Winter Carnival that my works puts on and Sienna & I went and enjoyed all the fun!

Cheers to 2010

Happy New Years everyone! Hope you all had a great holiday season! Cant believe it is already 2010! We have been having lots of fun family time lately! Skiing (Sienna rides along in her sled or backpack), sledding, playing the Wii, enjoying all our new toys and going swimming. I took her out to North Kenai Rec Center and she loved the pool out there and all the other friends she met along the way. By the end she got a little to brave and thought she could just jump into the pool. Cant wait to head out there again!
Our little 19 month old is talking like crazy and actually putting together sentences for me. Needless to say both mommy & daddy have had to change our vocabulary to a "g" version since she repeats everything I say or do these days.
Everyone is back to work and daycare. Cheers to 2010!
