Happy Holiday

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years everyone! This year we headed to Girdwood for 4 nights over Christmas....even though it rained on us we still had a great time....playing games, going on sled rides, hitting the slopes, eating, drinking and being merry! We put Sienna on skies for the 1st time....she loved the boots but hated being locked into the skies...I have video! Her daycare is closed this week so I am enjoying spending lots of time with her and have some friends watching her too so I can get some work done. Looking forward to 2010 and all it has to offer! We plan on ringing in the New Years... at home with a family ski and dinner!
We are truely blessed with a great family and friends! Love you all!

funniest little Christmas tree

Jake & I debated whether to get a Christmas tree this years since we will be gone...my brother came to visit and the two of them thought it would be "a fun family affair" to go cut down our own tree. So we bundled up and headed out our back yard until we found the "funniest" Christmas tree. Everytime I walk past it in my living room all I can do is giggle at the poor little thing.
Eric was down for three days this week and spent the day playing with Sienna....she absolutely adores her uncle Eric and I am glad they got to spend that time together. As she told me "they partied" while I was work.

Through the snow, over the pass to Anchorage we went

Season Greeting...this past weekend we loaded up and headed to visit family & friends in Anchorage. We had a great time visiting with everyone and Sienna spent lots of time playing with lots of little ones. It was great to see everyone and share in the holiday spirit. Sienna is 18 months already and talking up a storm saying new words each day. She loves to play outside in the snow and go for sled rides! Next week we are heading to Alyeska for 4-days with friends for Christmas. Looking forward to playing outside and spenting time together! We do miss our family during the holidays and wish we could all be together! Uncle Eric is coming to visit today so we are thankful he can come spend sometime with us!
Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season!

tis the season....

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving...we have some many things that we are thankful for! We headed over to our friends the Sullens and ate, played games, laughed.
We finally got a good amount of snow and with the warmer temps so Sienna has been enjoying going for sled rides and playing outside!
Yesterday was our Tree Lighting Festival here in Soldotna....so Santa came down from the North Pole and I took him over to Sienna's daycare before the event for all the kids to see. Sienna was not too sure about what to think of him.
The house is all decorated and the lights up so we are in full holiday spirit! Happy December!

little performer

Wow...cant believe it is already Thanksgiving week. Sienna...our little performer...is always dancing around the living room or amazing me with a new word or trying to copy our actions. Last weekend we were part of panel at an Adoption Fair here in town and it warmed my heart watching Sienna make lots of new friends and getting to share our story. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are heading over to our good friends the Sullens house...since dont have family close we are very thankful to have meant great friends down here to share the holidays with.

Happy Halloween

Hope everyone had a great Halloween. We sure enjoyed our weekend...Friday night Jake & I went to an adult party at a friends house - myself as a flapper and Jake as a nun. Saturday we went to Trunk or Treat at the Boys and Girls Club with our little friend Kaizen and it didnt take long for the little ones to figure out that they were getting candy in there bags. Sienna had a great time and really enjoyed our trick or treaters that came over. Still no snow...but we have had some cooler temps so winter is here.

It was wonderful to see lots of family and to explore the Bend/Redmond area! Sienna is doing wonderful and starting to talk up a storm. Every day she is amazing me with another new work or action.

Summer Adventures

Cant believe it is already September....what a great summer we have had...lots of sunshine, family & friends visiting, playing outside and watching Sienna grown and change. Grams & Papa left at the beginning of the month and we are missing them but happy we got to have them here for the summer. Labor Day weekend we did our last camping trip to the Russian River campground with our friends and Jake's brother's family was there too....so it was great way to end the summer! No bears...just plenty of sunshine!
